Commission Queue

Hey guys~

I’ve decided I will no longer be accepting commissions and will be going back to slots. Between getting things ready to move and a fairly inconsistent/crappy work schedule, it’s been hard for me to find time and energy to work on commissions and even my own writing projects.

I don’t know how many slots I’ll do at a time just yet, but I will list off which ones I’m currently working on in this journal and try to keep it updated when I can. You can also take a look at my Trello for these as well, which is linked to my profile page.

Once the current queue is completed, I’ll try to let you guys know what my plans are with taking commissions, along with a potential YCH story I’ve been wanting to try out.

Also, just want to say thank you to everyone who has commissioned me thus far and have donated to my Ko-fi; it’s been quite fun writing for you guys and seeing that you all appreciate my work! 🙂

Commission queue:
1. Alan Greymuzzle 2
2. Anonymous commission
3. RexOrchid 2 (needing to start draft)
4. Italianblackcat
5. Anonymous commission

Slight changes to Guidelines

Hey guys~

Come next round of commissions, I’ve tweaked my TOS/Guidelines somewhat and will be taking commissions a little differently (some of this will also apply to trades and requests).

Changes to all:
– Maximum word count I’m willing to write has increased to 10,000. After writing a few of my own stories that are around this length or higher, I’m more comfortable taking commissions of this length.
– “Watersports” has been removed from the Won’t Write list. Let’s just say…it’s a fetish I recently got into and want to explore myself…don’t judge me >.>

Changes to Commissions:
– There will be a form you must fill out if you wish to commission me! I will link that on my profile page as well as the very bottom of my guidelines page.
– Now that I will be doing this, I’m thinking of waiting until all slots are filled up before starting on commissions. However, I understand they may take a while to fill, so I might still do first-come-first-serve (after approving your commission request, of course).

Also, each time you donate to my ko-fi, you automatically get a one-time discount on a commission based on how much you donated!

Anyway, I think that’s about it for now. I do hope to get started on my last commission for this round, plus I’m working on a story featuring my horse and my cheetah characters; it will also be an expansion of my story “Letter to the Unknown.” I don’t know if I’ll just post that on here when I finish or try to get it published, but we’ll see!

Why I haven’t been writing lately (I know, I know)

Hey guys~

Yeah…I haven’t been writing a lot lately; a lot of that is due to how fast things have been changing in my life for the past few months. Between starting a new job and starting my last semester in college a few weeks ago, I also got thrown under the bus and was forced to find a new place before my friend moved to Utah (which was today). So, after working a temporary summer job, I had to start a new, full-time job (which is night shifts), start my last semester of college (which is thankfully just two classes), and move to a new place fast. All at the same time. Continue reading

Projects, Projects, Projects

Hey Guys,

Just a quick-ish update on what I’m planning on doing.

First of all, in case you haven’t noticed on my profile page, I decided to set up a ko-fi profile to try out for a while. It’s a small donation service for people to show support for content creators and give them a little motivation. There’s a link for it at the bottom of the page.

Now onto business. Continue reading

Small, General Update to TOS

I have recently updated my TOS for commissions, request, and trades to include a section regarding cancellation and denial of these. I should’ve included this section earlier, but have failed to do so due to being busy with college this past Spring. But, it’s up now, and I will be linking these pages to all art sites I’m currently on.

Apologies for delay with commissions

Hey guys,

Figured I’d give you guys a bit of an update, mainly for those two still waiting on commissions.

Overall, I’ve been very busy. Between my “final” semester of college, trying to maintain some exercise routine, dealing with family stuff, and trying to maintain some sort of social life…I feel like I have little room to breath. Obviously that leaves me with little time to write; at this point, I’m taking any chance I can get. Continue reading

Commissions Reminder & Status Update + General Life Update

Hey Guys~

As I’ve mentioned in this post I wouldn’t start on commissions until all the slots are filled or if they take too long to fill. It’s been over a week already since my first slot’s been claimed, so I may begin working on them soon.

With that said, I will start working on one or both of them starting tomorrow evening or Saturday. However, with Christmas just around the corner and New Year’s on deck, I don’t know how much I’ll get done. I still have one week left at work, and then I’ll have a couple weeks free until I go back to college.

As for my submission to Roar 8, I have no clue if I’ll get that done by the deadline by this point (Feb. 1st). I’ll still work on that as well as much as I can; it sort of involves another story of mine that I would like to finish.

I do admit, I’ve been slacking quite a bit on my writing habits lately. I’ve slipped out of trying to write every day (or most days when I can) and have only managed to write on the weekends, if I don’t have anything going on. Also, with the snow we’ve gotten the past couple weeks here, I’ve been a little weary about driving someplace else to go write. It’s hard for me to write at home (dare I say impossible), and I’d have to go in the next city over just to find a place that’s open late enough for me to write. There’s nowhere I can go in my small town anymore where I can go write. Hopefully this won’t become as much of a problem when I go back to school and start living with my boyfriend; I feel more at home there.

In other news, I recently joined the ranks of the Anthro Wrestling Federation (AWF) over on FA. No, you’re not going to see this tiger get in any bouts; that’s what I have Jamie for, haha. In any case, they are a wrestling RP group that, from what it sounds like, is on it’s third revival right now. I’ve only RPed once a while back (nothing fighting related) and I usually don’t RP in general. I also know little about wrestling and merely the basics. Thankfully Yarred, Ryl, Zander, Zeal, and Jeb have given me some great tips despite my uncertainty. And after chatting a bit in the group chat, both in character and out of character, I think I’m gonna like this group of guys ^^

Finally, a reminder that there is ONE SLOT LEFT FOR COMMISSIONS!!!!! Requests and trades are still open as well. There are subpages under the “About Commissions, Requests, and Trades” tab with more info on those.

When a story is “finished” and should stay as such

//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

I’ve hit a bit of a block with my progress on my submission to Roar 8, and this isn’t the first time I encountered this: I should have left “Runaways” well enough alone. I also have an incomplete story, “The Colony of Bats,” I wrote for a class a few semesters ago. I tried combining these two stories into one in the hopes of producing something new and worthwhile. However, in a weird way, I feel like I’m writing fanfic of my own fiction. I’m taking what’s already a good story and altering it to complete another original work. The reason I’m feeling this way is because I wasn’t producing something original for this anthology; I was rehashing older material.

Also, regarding “The Colony of Bats,” there was just too much world-building I still needed to do, primarily an unknown culture. That’s quite a lot of work I’d need to do in such a short amount of time. When I initially wrote this story, I barely had anything established for this culture, and I still don’t.

With that said, I guess it’s back to the drawing board. Right now, I’m thinking of expanding on a short writing exercise I did only about a month ago. It’s new, it’s fresh, it could still fit the theme “paradise,” and I think I can make it sound interesting. As for “Runaways” and “The Colony of Bats,” I’ll leave them where they are and put what I’ve already written in my scraps folder.

Honestly, even if I get rejected, I would still be happy; if anything, this is a learning experience. It would still be cool if I got published though, but I’ll let the editor be the judge of that.

Progress on Submission

I don’t believe I’ve mentioned this before on here, but I want to try and get in to two upcoming furry anthologies: Tales from the Guild 2 and Roar 8. However, because the deadline for TFTG2 is at the end of this year, I’ve decided to only focus on Roar 8.

It’s been a slow start, as it usually is when I first begin a story, but I’ve made it to the 1,800 mark with the opening scene well on its way. Hopefully I can make a lot more progress this weekend and this upcoming week. Things have been calming down, and I’ve been doing whatever I can to keep my spirits high, no matter what happens.

Whenever this reaches completion, I will not be posting it online until I hear word if I get accepted or not. If I get accepted, I’ll wait to post a preview once the anthology is officially out. If I get rejected, I’ll probably post the whole thing after polishing it up, depending on if another call for submissions comes up and I feel it would fit the bill.

Anyway, just thought I’d give you guys an update on this. Once this gets done and over with, I may open up for commission again (offered on my FurAffinity, SoFurry, and Weasyl); I’ve been asked about that a few times already. I sincerely do enjoy writing stories for you guys 🙂
