One of three commissions completed, and boy did I enjoy writing this one.
It’s a sequel to “Back for More” and features the same two characters from that story plus a new one. The commissioner wished to remain anonymous, but allowed me to post this to my gallery. Hope you all enjoy!
(I may mark this as “Adult” instead after uploading. It’s not explicitly sexual, but you’ll find out why towards the end.)

All slots have been claimed. I will reopen when they will all be finished and if life doesn’t seem too hectic at the time.
There is ONE more slot left for commissions, requests, and trades!
Announcement journal is updated to reflect this.
There are still TWO more slots for commissions, requests, and trades!
Announcement post is updated to reflect this.
This was originally supposed to be for the Iron Pen competition for FM 2016, but I was a tad late on finishing this before the deadline. Still, I decided to finish it up and quickly go over it so I can share it with you guys.
Yes, this was a challenge. It had to be 1,000 words or less (this clocks in at 928), feature a character that’s a native species to Minnesota or feature the theme of migration, and include the “secret ingredient” in a prominent way. The “secret ingredient” was called: My secret origin. Even though the contest is long over by now, I still tried to keep to the guidelines for my own benefit.
Hope you enjoy! Continue reading
I’ve hit a bit of a block with my progress on my submission to Roar 8, and this isn’t the first time I encountered this: I should have left “Runaways” well enough alone. I also have an incomplete story, “The Colony of Bats,” I wrote for a class a few semesters ago. I tried combining these two stories into one in the hopes of producing something new and worthwhile. However, in a weird way, I feel like I’m writing fanfic of my own fiction. I’m taking what’s already a good story and altering it to complete another original work. The reason I’m feeling this way is because I wasn’t producing something original for this anthology; I was rehashing older material.
Also, regarding “The Colony of Bats,” there was just too much world-building I still needed to do, primarily an unknown culture. That’s quite a lot of work I’d need to do in such a short amount of time. When I initially wrote this story, I barely had anything established for this culture, and I still don’t.
With that said, I guess it’s back to the drawing board. Right now, I’m thinking of expanding on a short writing exercise I did only about a month ago. It’s new, it’s fresh, it could still fit the theme “paradise,” and I think I can make it sound interesting. As for “Runaways” and “The Colony of Bats,” I’ll leave them where they are and put what I’ve already written in my scraps folder.
Honestly, even if I get rejected, I would still be happy; if anything, this is a learning experience. It would still be cool if I got published though, but I’ll let the editor be the judge of that.

I have decided to open up commissions again. They were fun to do and I would love to write for you guys again.
Also, I’ve decided to open up requests and trades. I finally got around to writing up guidelines for those. All the info can be found under the “About Commissions, Requests, and Trades” menu.
For commissions, I will be taking ONE LAST slot.
First off, this won’t necessarily be a first come, first serve. I will go over your commission request with you via private messages/notes and if I’m willing to do it, you get a slot. However, this depends on how many message me wanting a commission, so it may end up being a first come, first serve if I don’t get a lot of commission requests.
Secondly, I won’t start the commission process until all slots are filled. In the case of slots taking too long to fill up (they don’t fill up by the end of this year), I may go ahead and start on them.
Finally, I do not want due dates. I’ve had this happen to me a couple times already and it got too stressful for me, plus I felt horrible finishing a commission long after the customer requested a completion date. I strive to complete a commission within a month of approval, two months maximum. Writing takes time to do well, and life likes to get in the way…a lot. But I push through and find or make the time to write. On that note, I try to give customers progress updates as much as I can, even if there’s not much progress. This is purely an assurance for you so you’re not waiting months upon months for a commission.
Please don’t hesitate to send a message my way if you have any questions!
This is technically my fourth commission; the third one was private, as per request. So, that one obviously won’t get posted…ever.
However, this one will. I believe this is also the first commission where nothing overtly sexual happens; just a college kid who likes red pandas and ends up becoming one for his birthday. I’ll admit, this one could’ve gone a bit longer, but I like what I have so far. I might pull some ideas out of this one at some point; who knows?
Anyway, enjoy! Continue reading
Second story commission I’ve written. This was an interesting one to write for a few reasons:
- I enjoyed the central theme the commissioner requested for this one.
- While this seems like a serious test of strength between two men, things get a little…silly (per commissioner request). That made writing this a bit interesting.
- This one gave me an opportunity to try my hand at writing action/fighting sequences.
This story is a little on the mature side due to strong language and mild violence.
The commissioner wishes I keep them anonymous, but have allowed me to post their story to my gallery.
